Canon’s new compact mirrorless EOS RP and next generation RF lenses join full frame line-up at The Photography Show
London, 05 March 2019 – The Canon stand (D141, E131) will be packed with its latest camera, lens and print technology at The Photography Show at The NEC Birmingham next week (16-19 March). For the first time in Europe, customers will also get exclusive access to five design mock-ups of its RF full frame lenses, just announced as part of Canon’s 2019 lens roadmap¹.

With a camera to meet all photography and videography needs and hands-on opportunities and shooting experiences with the award-winning EOS M50 to the high-performance EOS-1D X Mark II, there’s something for everyone at the Canon stand.
Experience the revolutionary EOS R System
Visitors to the stand can explore Canon’s innovative EOS R System which now includes the recently launched EOS RP – its smallest, lightest2full frame digital interchangeable lens camera to date.
The EOS R System incorporates the best of EOS, with even greater levels of performance, lens design possibilities and creative flexibility. Launched in September 2018, the RF lens mount enables a radical new optical design, allowing large lens elements to be placed as near to the sensor as possible enabling light to hit the sensor straight on. Six full frame RF lenses are currently in development, suiting the needs of every user from advanced amateurs, to professional photographers and videographers, all in pursuit of the perfect shot.
Hear from the pros on Canon’s ‘Spotlight’ and ‘Bite-Size’ stages
A programme of educational and inspirational talks across Canon’s two own stages will be delivered by acclaimed Canon Ambassadors and users. The 100-seater Spotlight Stage3 will see professionals such as World Press Photo Award winner Tom Jenkins, wildlife photographer Andy Rouse, renowned landscape photographer David Noton and award-winning wedding photographer Sanjay Jogia deliver sessions on their experience with Canon’s EOS R. Behind the scenes photographer Rod Fountain will also talk about his experience of filming the unseen moments of Top Gear and the Grand Tour.
Canon’s Bite-Size Stage3 will provide the chance to see the Canon Ambassadors and experts deliver masterclasses and seminars helping photographers refine their skill and understand Canon’s full frame line-up. The schedule includes a social media coaching session with influencer and renowned self portrait photographer, Rosie Hardy.
