Canon EOS 7D Mark II Released
Canon announced the successor of the current Canon EOS 7D DSLR APS-C flagship camera on 15 September 2014 (and was branded Canon EOS 7D Mark II).

The next generation high speed advanced APS-C DSLR with new 65-point AF system and 10fps continuous shooting
  • New 65-point autofocus system and 10fps high speed continuous shooting to capture fast-moving objects
  • Newly developed 65-point all cross-type AF system1 with a f/2.8 compatible high precision dual-cross center AF point that also supports AF at f/8 and extremely low-light conditions at EV -3 sensitivity2
  • Features AI Servo AF III algorithm and AF Configuration Tools for highly precise and stable AI Servo AF tracking
  • 7 AF Area selection modes, including the new “Large Zone AF”
  • New “AF Area Selection Lever” allows easy switching between AF area selection modes
  • 10fps High Speed Continuous Shooting and supports Silent Shooting and 4fps Silent Continuous Shooting
  • 55ms shutter release time lag which is on par with EOS-1D X, and adopts shutter button with adjustable stoke3 as found in EOS-1D series
  • New “Anti-Flicker Shooting” where the AE system detects the cycle of flickering light sources such as fluorescent light and mercury light, the shutter release timing is then adjusted to ensure more consistent exposure and colour during shooting

  • 20.2-megapixel APS-C sized Canon CMOS sensor with 8-channel high speed readout and gapless microlens technology
  • New Dual “DIGIC 6” digital image processors, enabling a standard ISO range from 100 to 16000 (expandable to H1: 25600 and H2: 51200)
  • Features a new 150,000-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor with 252-zone metering and detects Red (R), Green (G), Blue (B) and Infra-red (IR) information which enables more accurate analysis from “EOS Scene Detection System”
  • EOS iSA (Intelligent Subject Analysis) system that detects the subjects by face data and colour information to enhance auto exposure, autofocus and auto white balance under different light sources
  • EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking Recognition) AF function that uses Face Detection and colour information from EOS iSA system to track recognized subject in optical viewfinder and keep the subject in focus throughout the scene
  • Optical viewfinder with 100% coverage and 1.0x magnification made by high quality glass pentaprism to ensure high brightness and reduce vignetting and ghosting
  • New “Intelligent Viewfinder II” with on-demand AF Points, dual-axis electronic level, gridline display and various camera settings display such as shooting mode, white balance, drive mode, AF operation, metering mode, recording format and flicker detection

Enhanced Movie Servo AF and supports 59.94p Full HD EOS Movie
